Apparently, these profiles are there to give you a rough idea of what I'm like as a person. As you probably realise, it's much easier to read one of these than to write one. So this is my attempt - go easy on me.
My friends say (when bribed) that I'm affectionate, warm and honest. When pressed, my family will grudgingly admit that I'm kind, caring and loving. My three children are almost grown (my youngest is 18 this year) so I've decided to concentrate more on having a decent work/ social life for myself ( I did try tagging along with my son when he went out, but he didn't seem very impressed. Can't imagine why). I have a job I love, so I consider myself lucky in that respect.
I like a laugh (who doesn't?) and while people often back away slowly avoiding eye contact when I try to crack a joke, I know that someone somewhere must have the same sense of humour as I do.
I enjoy all the same things you've read about in other profiles. Cinema, Theatre, Long walks in the country, Reading. However, if you've read this far I need to add that I won't go swimming with sharks, crocodile wrestling, climb Everest, potholing or any amalgamation of the four. I would however like to try parachuting out of a plane, though (attached to a nice, strong man, of course).
While the thought of gyms cause me to break out in a cold sweat, I do enjoy a Zumba class I go twice weekly to keep me slim.
I want to travel and would like to ride on a gondola in Venice eating a ice cream (promise not to sing).
